Case History- Mrs. Fatuma Abdulrahman (58Yrs/F), accompanied by Fardiya, from Mombasa, Kenya, under-went a successful Surgery in BL Kapoor Super-speciality, New Delhi.

 

Osteoarthritis-It occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wears down over time. Although osteoarthritis can damage any joint, the disorder most commonly affects joints in your hands, knees, hips and spine.

 

Case History- Mrs. Fatuma (Civil Servant in government of Kenya) was suffering from severe pain right knee, due to which she couldn’t walk properly, and not able to continue her job, which led to an urgent medical attention to make life normal.

 

Pre-Arrival Services- She was advised about Dr. Ishwar Bohar (Sr. Consultant- Joint and Replacement Surgeon) she contacted to us Humane Medical Assistance through our associate in Mombasa. Humane Team has initiated her medical trip plan. Humana’s associate in Kenya had assisted her in documents, approvals from government insurance, Kenya.

She shared her medical reports and clinical summary. After discussing the case with Dr. Ishwar. We got tentative treatment plan and quotation for surgery. We share the same plan with Mrs. Fatuma. Humane's Team assisted him in arranging Visa Invitation Letter and managed further travel plan. 

 

On Arrival Services- She arrived with her niece and received, by our team. Shifted to pre-booked hotel.

 

Surgical Plan- The appointment was scheduled with Dr. Ishwar After detailed assessment; right knee replacement surgery was planned. Surgery was performed successfully and the patient was discharged in stable condition. She was advised for rigorous physiotherapy.

 

After, 14 days of follow stay and physiotherapy, she went back to Kenya and was advised to continue physiotherapy for next few weeks.
