Case History- Mrs. Nuru is a nurse by profession from Mombasa (Kenya), was suffering from heart problem, breathless, dizziness and having abnormal heart parameters. Doctors in Kenya advised her to go for heart surgery. At age just 29 yrs, knowing her heart condition has devastated the whole family. Family had immediately decided to travel India for surgery under highly skilled and experienced heart surgeon.

 

Pre-arrival Plan- His family members started to search the best Hospital and Heart Surgeon in India. During search she had been advised to contact (Humane Medical Assistance, by our local Kenyan associate. Humane team had initiated the medical trip plan. Humane Team assisted him in arranging Visa Invitation Letter and managed further travel plan. Accommodation was booked as per their choice and budget.

 

She shared his medical reports and clinical summary. After discussing the case with Dr. Kual, chairman, Cardiac Surgery department BL Kapoor Hospital, We got tentative treatment plan and quotation for surgery. We share the same plan with Mrs. Nuru’s husband and finally decided to travel to BL Kapoor Hospital, New Delhi. Our local associate assisted them in getting approval of insurance for partial sponsorship of treatment in India.

 

 

On Arrival Services- She arrived to Delhi airport and been received, by our Patient care Executive and taken to the hotel as per the plan,

 

Treatment Plan-Appointment was scheduled with Dr. Kaul. After detailed assessment and Investigations, Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) surgery was planned. Surgery was performed successfully and patient was discharged in stable condition. After, 10 days of follow he went back to Kenya. Now, she is back to his routine job.

 

Follow-up: We did follow-up as per the need for dose and medicine adjustment. Still she is in touch with us for all her health related issues and we are providing regular assistance for her from India.
