Case History-Mrs. Irene was diagnosed with advanced stage of breast cancer in Kenya. She was looking for advanced treatment, and she travelled to Delhi.  She had been already operated at initial stage at other hospital in Delhi. But for further treatment she was looking for advanced technology based radiotherapy and chemotherapy under highly experience medical oncologist.

Pre-Arrival Surgery- She had been advised to contact Humane Medical Assistance team to manage her medical travel plan. Humane team got tentative treatment plan and quotation for chemo and radiation. We share the same plan with her and she decided to travel to BL Kapoor Hospital. Kenyan government has sponsored her medical trip. We supported with the documents needed for her local insurance approvals.

Visa Support- Humane Team assisted her with Visa Invitation Letter, advised to choose best airlines to travel and managed further travel plan.

On Arrival Services- Finally, Irene arrived at Delhi airport and received by our Patient Care Executive and taken to the hospital as per the plan. Appointment was scheduled with respective Drs as per Plan prior to her arrival. We arranged her accommodation and transportation.

Course of Treatment- She has been already operated for her breast cancer in other hospital based in Delhi but for further treatment decided to complete in BLK hospital Delhi. After finishing all required investigations, finally she had been advised to go for advanced radiotherapy and chemotherapy. She underwent chemotherapy (Dr Amit Aggarwal, HOD department and TOMOTHERAY radiation, 20 days course under Dr. Hukku HOD department of radiation) as per the standard protocols.

Follow-up- After returning to Kenya, during her stay at home, we did regular follow-up with BLK doctors as and when required. She visited twice to Delhi for review.
